RUSSIAN LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION FUNCTIONS IN MODERN WORLD

Abstract:
The subject of analysis become communicative functions of the Russian language in the modern world, based on deep historical roots that connect it to all genetically Slavic and Indo-European peoples. The purpose of the study – to show the place and importance of the Russian language in the modern world by revealing its communicative functions. The status of any language in the world arena is associated with the history of the people who speak it, and the state as a whole. It depends not only on its domestic natural features, but also on external circumstances. A new study believe the analysis of the most important milestones of the dynamics of functioning of the Russian language with respect to five spaces in the last quarter century: 1) on a global scale as a language in a number of international organizations, 2) as a means of international communication in a multilingual polynational Russian state, 3) as the state language, and 4) as a means of linguistic community among the Slavs and 5) as the language of immigrants. The analysis proved the importance of the last two communicative functions, precipitated the end of the twentieth century: to be one of the means among the Slavs and the ethnic community language in the emigrant environment. But today most concerned about the functioning of the Russian language as a native language in Russian-speaking community. In this work the following methods were used: comparative-historical, descriptive, comparative. Application of research results is determined by the ability to use them in further study of the current state of the Russian language, reading of special courses connected with the problems of the world of linguistics.
