- Abstract:
- The article contains a comparative analysis and study of the three selected projects: Szczecin Philharmonic (2014.), Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic in Bialystok (2012), and the National Forum of Music in Wroclaw (2015). Research focuses on a variety of contexts - architecture as art (beauty, dynamism, symbolism, iconicity) architecture as an urban dialogue with the existing environment, the history of the place and finally architecture as a functional and technological machine corresponding to modern requirements utilitarian, social and technical. The conclusions of the analysis allows to determine the place and importance of the "architecture of music" in the changing landscape of Polish cities during the transformation of socio - economic after 1989 or system changes initiated in Poland in the 80s of the twentieth century.
