ABSTRACT
This study is devoted to the consideration of such a phenomenon as financial determinism, and the definition of its role in the socio-economic development of Russia. In addition to the review of characteristics, disclosure of the scope and content of the subject of determinism and of financial determinism in particular, the author traces the evolution of the determining factors in the historical context, and also fixes the formation of financial determination in the world community. Based on the data, the author focuses on the analysis of Russia’s position in world politics and the financial system. The author notes the uniqueness of the situation and determines the appropriate direction and prospects for further development of the situation. As the principal outcomes of the research, the author notes that the determinism of the state’s development and its position on the world stage is the basis for the possibility of scientific prediction, but the specific outcome depends not only on general laws, but also on the specific conditions and correct behavior in the situation.
