PARKING INDICATOR IN WROCLAW HOUSING ESTATES

Currently the number of cars in Polish cities is growing faster than the number of inhabitants. There are already 878 registered vehicles in the Polish city of Wrocław for 1000 inhabitants. Parking problems affect not only the city center, but also more and more its edges. There is a shortage of parking spaces on many new multi-family housing estates. The following questions arise: how does Wrocław’s parking policy counteract this negative trend? How many parking spaces falls on one dwelling in development investments?
This article presents the results of the analysis of communication service for over a dozen selected residential projects in Wrocław. The aim of the work is to recognize the tendencies of the parking indicator in new investments, taking into account the specificity of the city in which they are located, and to determine how it is regulated by the city. In the future, research may be used to formulate new requirements in the scope of communication services for housing estates. This is a significant issue in the era of the appropriation of motorized housing estate with progressive damage to the health and quality of the housing environment.
