ABSTRACT
The piece Trio rustic pentru vioară, violă și violoncel de Ion Ghiga (Rustic trio for violin, viola and cello by Ion Ghiga) was written in 1950 as he reached his stylistic maturity as a composer. In this work we can distinguish a series of morphological features which are wonderfully mirror the elements of Romanian folk musical language. Such elements are particularly represented by some motifs with archetypal values, as rhythmical and sound pitch elements, harmonic-polyphonic textures or architectural structure. The programmatic feature of the work is deducted from each title of the constituent parts such as: La coasă (To the sew), Doină (Doina song), Turturelele (The Doves). These are suggestive titles with huge echoes in each page of the work. The mark of the creative personality of the composer is evidenced by the intertwining of the classical style writing with subtle elements which make subtle allusions to some specific performing techniques of the Romanian authentic folklore.
