HEIGHT SOLUTION OF COMMUNICATION AND ITS IMPACT ON HORIZONTAL TRAFFIC MARKING

ABSTRACT

Road safety is still a highly debated issue in all developed countries with automotive traffic. All groups of participants are endangered, while drivers and motorists in motor vehicles are more or less protected by the vehicle itself, cyclists and motorcyclists are partly protected by, for example, a helmet, but pedestrians are not protected at all. The pedestrian is therefore the most vulnerable road user. The article deals with the influence of the longitudinal solution of the communication on the perspective of the horizontal traffic signs on the road, namely the marking of the pedestrian crossing. The assessment was made on the basis of general mathematical, physical relations and graphical rendering. This is the analysis of a vehicle driving a road leading in a descent or climb and a high arc. For the assessment was used design speed 50 km / h and practical value of longitudinal slopes of roads in the city. From the values found, for example, it is possible to design an optimal position of the horizontal traffic sign on the road.
