It is believed that two great revolutions prompt the rise of the so-called Social Sciences – the French Democratic Revolution and the Industrial Revolution. These events shattered the European culture in such immense manner that it was impossible for the thinkers of 18th and 19th century to overlook them. The former caused the collapse of the feudal system and leave notions as wealth, authority, status and sovereignty for redefining, while the later changed the means of production by such degree that, all of a sudden, the entire organization of society reordered. It was the time when the main tree of Philosophy was separated into hundreds of scientific branches. There was a great need of specialization and differentiation of knowledge.
Until the end of 18th century the main ideas of economics, political science, anthropology and sociology were formed and by the end of 19th century the main body of Social Sciences was already established into distinctive disciplines. Thereby, 20th century could be seen, along with many other tendencies, as the period of Social Science.
Nowadays, it is impossible not to take into consideration the idea of society as the main factor when dealing with whichever scientific field one chooses. But through the separation of the holistic philosophical systems, we have reached dangerous levels of alienation among the different disciplines of knowledge. Human mind is not capable of grasping the totality of scientific work today. However, we are witnessing a new revolution – the World Wide Web Revolution. Social networks, Search engines, cloud-based data servers, almost immediate transfer of information, super-fast computational methods, unimaginable statistics, all that made it possible for us to restore the union of the innumerable disciplines. We are already living in unprecedented interconnection. The entire planet is in cultural, informational and industrial interdependence. There is a need of scientific reunion once again. These are the ages of multidisciplinary studies. SWS Social Sciences Conference aspires to create a platform where various researchers and scholars from all around the world could share their scientific achievements and co-operate for initiation of better problem-solving social approaches for the future generations.

ISCSS aims are to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Social Science. We aspire to provide a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners, and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered, and solutions adopted in the specific field.
ISCSS SCOPE
ISCSS scope comprise broad selection of presentations, studies and papers in the main branches of Social Sciences gathering the more objective and scientific side of human sciences as Anthropology, Human Geography, Psychology, Economics, Business and Management, Archeology, Cultural Studies, Media and Communications Political Science, Social History and Sociology as well as Urban studies, Planing and Development.
All submitted manuscripts will pass a peer review process (2 or 3 independent reviewers) with high criteria, selected specifically for the conference. There are single and double-blinded peer-review process, depending on the stage of the workflow, that guarantee the independent and transparent process between authors and reviewers. The SWS International Scientific Committee is the only competent authority in making decisions on selection or rejection of the manuscripts submitted to the conferences.
